The Board is made up of four key roles: Directors, Officers, Incorporators, and Members:
Director: A person who helps oversee and guide the organization’s direction. The non-profit needs at least three Directors.
Incorporator: The person who sets up the non-profit by filing the necessary paperwork with the state or other authorities.
Officer: An individual who takes on specific roles, like President, Treasurer, or Secretary. Officers handle daily tasks, manage finances, and put into action the decisions made by the Board.
Member: Someone who is officially part of the non-profit, contributing time, money, or skills. Members may have voting rights, help with fundraising, volunteer, or join committees to support the organization’s mission.
